Over the past 11 years, the High Hopes fundraising committee has raised more than $600,000 for the YWCA Resolve - $100,000 of which we netted last year alone! In this economic climate, the efforts of the High Hopes committee and the success of the Girls Night Out parties are critical for YWCA Resolve to continue offering essential supportive services for victims of domestic violence who are seeking safety, self-sufficiency and self-determination. Thank you for sharing our concern of the devastating impact domestic violence has on abused women and families and our community.
Girls Night Out this year is scheduled for August 12, and will again be held at the Sunrise Mansion offices of Farmer, Cline & Campbell. Last year’s event boasted more than 600 of Charleston’s leading ladies and the party is the talk of the town (complete with raffles, auctions, a live band, and a domestic violence survivor’s testimony).
